Who is Karen R. Cross? Will she always be an educator? Often I wonder. There are so many dreams inside of me; sometimes I can’t count them all. If I didn’t have stacks and stacks of journals I probably would not be able to remember all of them myself. Some are long forgotten, but others burn inside of me like hot coals in a pot belly stove. They are alive with the fire of my passion. The fire of my destiny. The fire of unseen dreams. I stoke them with love, strength, courage, determination, resiliency, defeat and sometimes pain.
They are mine, unseen, incomplete – but mine. They are still in my heat, my soul, and my belly. I lift them daily to God, believing that He hears me and He is keeping them safe; for He alone is The Keeper of my dreams.
